SUGAR FLOWERS

1ST EVER BRIDE & GROOM

This was the first time we made a gumpaste bride & groom. I hope the bride forgave me for making her top heavy and wider than her groom, which she really wasn't. But it sure was so much fun giving it our best shot. Thankfully, we got better on the next ones.

Embroidery

We did this cake for an exhibit in Amigo Terrace Hotel upon the invitation of good friend Alex Somcio. The dainty pink sugar roses (of royal icing, not gumpaste) got most of the attention.

Giant Cake

We made this cake for a nice couple whose groom was on the heavy side. They wanted the cake size big to balance out the large built of the groom. It was an honor to create a cake to their specifications.We had the cake gently rotating during the reception to show the two designs on each side: the one shown on the right and the other side, a long blue swag with flowers and embroidery.

McKoi

A long time client wanted a koi for his birthday. I didn't have an idea what it looked like (turned out to be carp) so he had to send vcd's of the fish to orient me. With a bit more surfing , Mom's QC, and the client's sms (saying he was happy with it) the next day, we thought we did pretty well.

Grabato Wedding

Most people would see this as a look alike of the Ruffa-Ylmaz wedding cake. This was actually based from the cake collection of Margaret Braun in her book, Cakewalk.
